Imitation Is More than Flattery

As with most offices, Halloween is a time to shed the tie and dress up for a day. If you are in our office, taking off my flip flops is what I had to do. Heather Newell (Lady Web Hawk) took imitation to a whole new level. Her depiction of Ford and some great old photos, would have won many awards at local Halloween contests. She went all out and brought some great culture and laughs to a very busy schedule producing results for our clients.

This reminded me of a common situation that comes up with our clients. We always recommend blogging to add new fresh content to your website to keep readers engaged as well as help with the search engines. A common response from our clients is, “I just cannot come up with brand new content that often.” This always seems to be a concern and a perceived issue. I say perceived because perception, is not always reality.

The content you post does not always have to be 100% yours. Now, let me be clear.. I am not saying steal someone else’s writing and claim it as your own. More importantly, use their post or page as reference and add to it. Prime Concepts could find a good article on effective landing pages and write a blog post on it. We would reference the article, give the link and give our feedback on our interpretation of these landing pages. You can do the same! Find an article in our area of expertise and meditate on it. Was it good? Do you agree with what was said? Answer those questions and tell your readers.

Now this would be the point in the post where I should put our CTA, or call to action, and point you toward our store for a great product or to schedule a Business Accelerator Call with Ford, but I will leave you with the smile on your face and know that the one and only Ford Saeks can be imitated too. Check out that hair!
